A-Cuff and Q-Cuff are inspired by clothing and tailoring. In this work, designer Anna Kraitz has explored the contrast between the structured and the soft — from the clean lines and construction of a tailored men’s shirt to more flowing forms inspired by puff sleeves and gathered fabrics.
Both people and furniture inhabit spaces and architecture, making the connection to clothing feel like a natural and intriguing point of departure.
The hooks on the stand also invite use beyond the lighting itself, allowing a garment or accessory to be hung up and letting the lamp become part of the room’s everyday rituals.
The names A-Cuff and Q-Cuff are a nod to Alexander McQueen and the fashion world’s strong relationship with silhouette, materiality, and identity.
